Week 3: FINAL PROTOTYPE

It's the final week for the prototype!
This is where all the core gameplay comes together, so we can evaluate whether or not our game is even worth further development. For the artists this was the week where they finish up the art bible, so we know what to keep in mind when making our game come to life.

GAMEPLAY:

-Items:

Of course our grandma's need to be able to pick up items and put them in their basket. To achieve this I used simple raytracing. If the grandma is empty handed and the ray goes through an item, said item will attach itself to her. Then, if we press the same button again, but she is holding something, the item will simple detach itself.

When holding an item, this can be added to whichever shopping cart our dear old nanny is hovering over.  The tag will be kept in the cart's inventory.

-Carts:

The carts are very wonky and make it a bit difficult to navigate around with. Because of this, our older ladies will keep smashing into the shelves, which will in turn drop some items that will serve as an obstacle. They will also clash into each other when our grandma's bump into each other.

-The goal:

Every grandma has a list to complete, this will always be shown and every cart has it's own inventory. Whenever a grandma pick up a cart , the inventory will be available to them. They can scroll through the items and drop them. Items in their list, which overlap with what's in the cart will be crossed out.
