Grrrumble release!
Hello everyone!
It is official. Grrrumble's full release is finally here! This whole project has been a journey, but it was a lot of fun. Now for a final time... Let me walk you through our last week of development.
CODE:
To make possible future expansions easier, we went back to our code and cleaned it up. By that I mean, making things a lot easier to find, correcting naming conventions and small optimizations.
VOICE LINES:
To make announcements a little more clear, we made them spoken lines rather than just a sound cue. It's fitting too, since it seems like these are lines that are being spoken through an intercom. Perfect for our supermarket setting.
VOLUMES:
Some soundFX where deafening while others where barely audible. Therefore we went through the game and adjusted the volumes so they would all match up with each other.
ENDING SCREEN:
We re-did our end screen to make it more congratulatory. Both animations and appropriate sounds where added to enhance that!
LIST:
Items in the cart that are not on the list are now shown as red icons. This helps a lot with managing the cart's inventory.
The player's score is now displayed throughout the entire game and gets updated every time the player checks out.
DRAW:
We now have a beautiful image prepared in case of a draw. I have to say, these facial expressions are everything!
HIT COOLDOWN:
The cooldown for punching is now visualized! It's much better now that you can see when you can punch again.
After bringing everything together and playtesting this to hell and back. We are now proud to call this game finished. We'd like to thank everyone who followed us on this journey!
